What I Wore To London Fashion Week September 2014

If you read my last post you’ll know I was lucky enough to go London Fashion Week. So now for the bit you’re all really interesting in- what the heck did I wear?!?

Top: eBay; Trousers: Missguided; Necklace: Claire’s; Belt: Boden; Jacket: eBay; Rucksack: eBay

It was all about comfort for my 4 and a half hour train journey down south. Nonetheless, I was not prepared to sacrifice style- I was going to Laaandaaan after all. These high-waisted trousers from Missguided were perfect, super comfy but certainly not boring!

My real saviour for travelling and indeed being at LFW itself was this rucksack-

I remember when I wouldn’t even take a backpack to school because they weren’t ‘cool’ enough. Funny how things turn around. it was the perfect size to fit a spare pair of shoes (which turned out to be essential!) and all my other bits and pieces while scoring some serious fashion points. Result!

Day One

Top: Topshop; Skirt: Topshop; Shoes: Jimmy Choo; Sunglasses: eBay

What a day! I really didn’t know what to expect when I teetered down to Somerset House but within moments I was having my photograph taken. My holographic skirt was a huge hit. I got told I looked like a mermaid a few times which was much appreciated!

For my make up I decided to go for a subtle smokey eye created using a khaki eye shadow and paired it with a bold, berry lip. Eh voila-

One of my Fashion Week highlights has to be when Maybelline asked to take my picture and I ended up on their Instagram. So yeah, y’all can now contact me through my PA- all requests in writing please…

Day Two

Dress: Zara; Hat: eBay; Sandals: River Island; Bag: Asos; Necklace: eBay

I wanted to use my time in London to be brave and really embrace the bold look I wanted to wear without the fear of being judged. I went for a Bohemian-themed style for day two, based around this glorious floaty dress from Zara. Of course, a large bag was obligatory, as was some standard Alice embellishment in the form of these beaded sandals from River Island.

Personally, I am loving this quirky turban hat. With its rich, emerald shade and indulgent velvet material, I felt like an Indian princess. Would I wear it up the local High Street though? Probably not!

So that was my time at London Fashion Week. Hopefully I’ll get to do it all again in February!
